Emergency

When you have a medical emergency, every second counts. That’s why Riverwood Healthcare Center’s Emergency Services department is a full-time, 24-hour-a-day, 7-day-a-week facility.  Riverwood has an on-site helipad for fast air ambulance transportation. Response time is critical to saving the lives of trauma victims and as a Level III Trauma Center, we have the Emergency Room staffed 24 hours a day, with surgeons readily available for emergencies.  Riverwood was one of the first hospitals in Minnesota designated as a Level III Trauma Center.

Our emergency medical staff has the latest training and technology to provide the highest level of emergency medical service.  We provide the initial evaluation and stabilization for any medical problem or traumatic injury. All of our ER providers maintain certifications in advanced cardiac and trauma care.
