At Riverwood Healthcare Center, surgical services are performed by surgeons who are compassionate, skilled experts. These surgeons, and the highly trained staff who assist them, work in surgical suites that are equipped for minimally invasive surgery and other innovative procedures.

Minimally invasive surgery takes advantage of new technologies that reduce the size of incisions required for many traditional surgeries. Smaller incisions usually result in less pain, faster healing and a reduced risk of infection. Some of the laparoscopic surgical procedures performed at Riverwood are more advanced than those performed in many urban hospitals.
