Name: Janet Larson, PhD, C-FNP, PMHNP Family Nurse Practitioner, Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Education: BA in Nursing (1998) and MS in Nursing (2001),College of St. Scholastica, Duluth; post-graduate CSS in Adult Mental Health (2002); and PhD in Nursing, University of North Dakota (2011). Previous Experience prior to Riverwood: Registered Nurse at Riverwood’s hospital in emergency room and urgent care, outpatient mental health, family planning, and chronic disease management. Specialty Areas of Practice: Mental health, research focusing on process change and rural health issues. What is your personal philosophy/approach to medical care? My philosophy is to work with individuals to create a holistic plan of care focusing on wellness. Location(s) for patient care: Aitkin, Garrison and primarily McGregor What are your hobbies/interests? Fishing, reading, music, gardening, knitting, and exploring the outdoors. |
